Windows, Doors, and Gates – August 2025

The main verse was from Amos 3:3 (NLT):
“Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?”
From there, God reminded me:
- ALIGNMENT begins with AGREEMENT.
- ALIGNMENT positions you for ASSIGNMENT.
- ALIGNMENT releases ANOINTING.
And in August, I experienced exactly that — God opened windows, doors, and even gates for His glory.

🔹 Windows for Missions
It began with a divine connection to the Betancourt family — missionaries from Las Vegas, Nevada. Bro. Ryan, his wife Cherrybee, and their sweet baby Shiloh.
One night, I prayed: “Lord, open windows, open doors, open gates for Your glory and for missions.” The very next morning, the Holy Spirit nudged me to reach out to them. That step opened the window to missions work here in Dumaguete: The Unfinished Story for teens, Interface, and soon Kairos.
God has been cultivating in me a heart for missions, and in August, He watered it and made it bear fruit for souls.

One night, I prayed: “Lord, open windows, open doors, open gates for Your glory and for missions.”

🔹 Doors to the House of Missions
God didn’t just open a door, He opened a whole house.
I met Rev. Kyongsu Kim of Open House / Elphis Accompanying Church in the heart of Dumaguete. For five years, he and his wife have been faithfully preparing a place for missionaries and mission work. He envisions it as Gospel House — a hub for global missions, training, and equipping.
The Betancourt Missions even used this house for their training programs. It was amazing to witness how God aligned everything for the Great Commission.
This place is also being prepared to nurture young people in music, fine arts, and performing arts — a platform for Jesus and the Gospel!

🔹 A Night of Worship: PALAWUD
I also connected with amazing local leaders and pastors in Dumaguete:
- Living Hope International Fellowship (Facebook)
- Pastor Cyrus of Simba’ng Bisaya (Facebook)
- Reymond Carreon of Balay Kalapihan (Facebook)
- Pastor Adrian of Covenant Life Church (Facebook)
- Influence Worship (Facebook)
Together, we organized PALAWUD, a night of worship for leaders and youth, inspired by Luke 5 where Jesus calls Peter to cast his nets deeper. It was a night of soaking in God’s presence, hearing His Word, and being refreshed for the mission ahead.

🔹A Call to Mabinay
Remembering back on August 1st, the Lord placed a heavy burden on my heart for souls. I found myself crying out in prayer, “Lord, send me to those who are ready to hear Your Gospel!”
The very next day, God answered. He opened a GATE for me to preach the Gospel in Mabinay — to more than 600+ LGU employees during their Spiritual Enhancement and Moral Recovery Program.
It was my uncle, Mayor Jango Uy, who called and invited me to be their speaker. That invitation became God’s assignment. Long story short: the Gospel was preached with power, and many received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
I may not be able to personally follow up on all 600 souls, but I know that God is faithful. He already opened a door to one person in that crowd, someone I believe He will raise up as a vessel of revival in Mabinay.
My heart burns to return soon, praying that our church will plant outreaches in Mabinay so that what God started will continue to grow. I am so grateful for Jesus — and for the people He used to open that place for the Gospel.
To God be all the glory!

🔹 From Wrestling to Confirmation
In August, God also confirmed my full-time calling. I embraced the mantle of Evangelist and Missionary.
But before that, I had to wrestle. I received a job offer that seemed like provision, yet deep inside, I knew God was calling me fully into the harvest field. It was painful to decline, but obedience mattered more.
That very next day, God spoke clearly:
“You have seen windows open, you have seen doors open. Now, you will see gates open.”
And He was true to His Word.

🔹 Gates of Harvest
On August 30, I was invited to Calvary Chapel Dumaguete to discuss the upcoming Hope4U Concert (Nov. 23, 2025).
This was full circle for me. In 2010, at Hope4U in Macias Sports Complex, I surrendered my life to Jesus through the preaching of Pastor Joseph Jo. Now, 15 years later, I shared my testimony as one of the fruits of that concert — and how God is now using me to minister to others.
The gates are open. The harvest is coming. And the nets will hold for the big catch!

🔹 Final Word: Windows, Doors, Gates
God gave me a platform no man can take away. When people overlook you, remember, El Roi — the God who sees you.
August ended with a clear word: Luke 5. Jesus calls us to be fishers of men, and the nets are ready for the great catch.
The wilderness is over. The windows are open. The doors are unlocked. The gates are wide for harvest.
Now is the time.
