A Life Transformed.
Have you ever felt so lost that you thought there was no way back?
I have.
There was a time when my life was consumed by sin, drunkenness, debauchery, addiction, and bitterness. I saw myself as the prodigal son—a backslider who felt utterly unworthy of God’s love. I was in my darkest and lowest, I smoked weed just to feel better. I even tried meth. I became trapped and ensnared into searching for the pleasures of this world, drowning in desires that never satisfied. My heart was filled with frustration, hate, pride, and anger. I lost my way and let my struggles define me. I used to say, I am beyond redemption.
I faced relentless battles—both carnal and emotional—that pulled me further from God. One of the deepest wounds was losing my mother to cancer. But the pain didn’t stop there. To me, what came next felt worse than a pandemic. My father left us, and I had no choice but to take care of my younger brothers. Then, as if life hadn’t taken enough, my grandfather, who was a pastor, fell ill and passed away. The family church he had pioneered—the spiritual home he built—was taken over by a cult.
Unlike Job, whose suffering came in a single devastating wave, my trials unfolded over time. Yet the pain was no less unbearable. I found myself questioning everything. I was nothing like Job, who endured his testing with unwavering faith. If anything, I related more to Job’s wife—the one who said, “Curse God and die.”
And for a season, I did.
The Hand of God in My Darkness
By God’s grace, even in my rebellion, He’s hand was still with me. In the midst of my struggles, He connected me with people who had genuine and sincere faith—people who reflected His love when I couldn’t see it for myself. He led me back to the path of righteousness for His name’s sake. He restored my soul. Truly, God is a Good Shepherd.
In moments of surrender and weakness, His rod and His staff comforted me. He surrounded me with pastors, mentors, and spiritual fathers who guided me back to the truth. I am grateful for the relatives and friends who became family. I had many mothers and fathers who took me and my brothers in, supporting us when we had no one else. For a season, I leaned on them, and in that season, I learned how to stand again. I learned how to walk back in faith.
The Turning Point
Even in my darkest, God never gave up on me. Even when I drowned in sin, His grace was there—pursuing, calling, waiting. Little by little, He softened my heart, reminded me of His love, and opened my eyes to see beyond my pain.
God encouraged me to see beyond my circumstances. To look ahead, past the storm. Like an eagle soaring above the winds, He taught me to see through the eyes of faith. Like an architect who envisions the masterpiece beyond the blueprint, He called me to trust in The Outcome—the fulfillment of His promises.
A Life Restored
Now, I serve God with more fire than ever. He not only redeemed me, but He also called me. Today, I am actively involved in pioneering a local church, and I am walking in my calling as a Youth Pastor. What once seemed like an impossible turnaround has become my testimony of grace.
I don’t claim to be perfect, but I am transformed. I don’t have all the answers, but I know the One who does. My journey is still unfolding, and slowly but surely, I will see The Outcome that God has promised—to me and to all who love Him.
My two younger brothers are with me, and we go to church together every Sunday. The youngest has started learning musical instruments, while the second helps me at home and has continued to pursue his art. Seeing them grow in their own God-given talents reminds me that the Lord is restoring not just me, but my family as well.
I also continue to pray for my father and for our small family church. They, too, had their own moments of weakness. But I trust that God’s grace is still at work in their lives, just as it has been in mine.
His Grace is Sufficient
No matter how far you’ve fallen, how broken you feel, or how lost you think you are, God’s grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). His mercy is greater than your past, and His love never runs out. He is calling you—repent and believe, and you will be saved (Mark 1:15). His promise is clear: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household” (Acts 16:31).
Our Redeemer lives (Job 19:25), and He is actively pursuing us with unfailing love. Don’t lose hope. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). His arms are always open, waiting to restore and redeem.
If He did it for me, He can do it for you.
If you feel lost, if you’ve turned away, if you think you’ve gone too far—let me remind you: God’s grace is greater. His love reaches deeper. And no matter how broken you are, The Outcome of His promise is always redemption.
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
Thank You, Lord, for Your grace.
