Equipped with biblical training, Mark served in his family’s local church in Oroquieta City, established by his late grandfather, Pastor Edgar Catane Sr. However, ministry challenges and encounters with false ministers, deceptive apostles, and misguided prophets led him into a season of struggle and disillusionment. Like many before him, he was momentarily shaken. But strengthened by the prayers of his late mother, Armyla Mae Lanaria, he found the courage to rebuild his life. He returned to Dumaguete to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Silliman University, believing that God’s calling extended beyond the four walls of the church. Inspired by his mother’s dream for him to be the first college graduate in their family and in honor of his late grandfather Orlando Lanaria Sr., Mark successfully graduated in 2019 and became a licensed Filipino social worker. 

With a heart for service and leadership, Mark joined the Rotaract Club of Dumaguete, later becoming an exemplary Hope-Creating President of Rotaract District 3860 (2023-2024). His dedication to community impact and volunteerism earned him numerous recognitions and accolades. However, despite the honor of men, he longed for something greater—the honor that comes from obeying God’s call. This conviction led him back to a journey of spiritual renewal, where he prioritized God’s will over worldly recognition. 

Now revived in spirit, God has opened new doors for Mark to minister once again. He serves as a Youth Pastor at Word International Ministries – Downtown Dumaguete under Pastor Mark Albaracin. Another door has opened for him to teach, write, and proclaim the Gospel—leading to the birth of “The Outcome” Blog and The Outcome YouTube Channel. Through these platforms, he passionately shares biblical teachings, Christian reflections, and the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
